We are the largest voluntary membership interest group for hunters in Finland, with more than 150 000 members from over 2 500 hunting societies.
Finnish Hunters' Association represents the interests of Finnish hunting and hunters and promotes the activity of hunting societies. Our association advances Finnish hunting culture and furthers both hunting and game management conditions.
Finnish Hunters' Association was founded in 1921. The association is a nationwide organisation, with 16 district organisations. The headquarters of the association is located in Southern Finalnd, in Riihimäki, 70 km North of Helsinki.
Finnish Hunters’ Association:
Takes part in national and international hunting politics
Educates hunters and produces educational material e.g. for youth activities, societies, game management activities and shooting activities.
Publishes the magazine Jahti–Jakt
Organizes youth camps (Metso Camps) and other youth activities
Carries the main responsibility for Finnish Hunter’s Shooting competitions, furthers Hunter’s Shooting as a hobby and furthers the interests of shooting ranges
Produces nationally significant projects
Furthers and cherishes Finnish hunting culture, and has e.g. founded the
Hunting Museum of Finland
Publishes hunting related literature ranging from guide booklets to broad basic textbooks
